I would just like to say that the three of us found our experience with ELC very positive. My husband and I were a bit anxious anticipating the outcome of the process and what it might mean for our family. After having met with you, we understand our daughter so much better and are encouraged by the assessment's recommendations.

Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent at ELC. She has asked many times since if she can return. She says "it was so much fun!" It's a brief sentence that reveals something quite important: that she felt confident in being herself with all of you. We believe the recommendations provided in the assessment will allow us to build on that accomplishment. We are truly grateful that we were able to access the expertise and services at ELC.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to the entire team at Eaton Learning Centre for the recent psycho-educational assessment you afforded my six-year-old son. The insights that resulted from this extensive and informative testing have already shone a bright light on why he was struggling and miserable at school. I hasten to add that we never would have been able to figure it out without these tests. My son would have had to sit entirely miserable, his already eroded self-esteem further deteriorating for another two or three years before the school would have considered testing him.

The receptionist I spoke to was immediately helpful, reassuring, and informed. Her helpfulness and care was a consistent feature in our experience dealing with Eaton Learning Centre. My panic was somewhat alleviated by that initial conversation with her. The assessors were sensitive to my son from the moment they met him and I am very grateful to all of them for their understanding and willingness to accommodate his needs during the testing. We feel very fortunate that he was able to work with such talented, thoughtful experts during what, because of his more introverted nature, could have been a much more nerve-wracking experience for him.

I also gained important insights during the intake interview that helped while we waited for the results. The results from the testing will make a significant difference to his educational experience, which hitherto had been a rather unnecessarily miserable affair.

I can't tell you what a wonderful world Eaton Learning Centre and director Sarah Howard have opened up for us and our son. He has been so frustrated with school, especially this year in Grade 4 and, therefore, we as his parents have been very frustrated. Migraines, biting his nails, break downs crying...it is devastating to see your child go through something like this. On one hand he is so amazingly bright, and on the other hand, school work (especially reading and math), staying focused and on task have been a nightmare.

The assessments and tests were so right on! Our son also really enjoyed the entire process which made it much, much easier for everyone. Of course, at times we had thought we were an island all to ourselves, just floundering, but with Sarah’s recommendations to us, the school and the teachers to help him reach his full potential, with our full participation, I don't see how we can lose. I am thrilled that my friend recommended ELC. She can't say enough wonderful things about the Centre and says that her son is a different young man with the help of ELC.
