Successful children and adults with learning differences are often very aware of their learning profiles and are also good at advocating for their own unique needs; thus, the assessment and consulting services at Eaton Learning Centre are designed to help clients gain a clear understanding of their learning profiles, and feel confident in their ability to self-advocate.

ELC generally offers two types of assessment:

Educational Assessment (for ages 7 to adult):
Determines specific grade level and percentile rankings in reading, writing, spelling and math.

Includes:

• pre-interview
• 3 hours testing
• written report
• 30 minute follow-up meeting
  (sometimes one hour is required)

Psycho-Educational Assessment (for all ages):
A full assessment of cognitive ability, measures of intelligence, overall achievement skills, fine motor functioning and behavioural analysis:

Includes:

• 30 minute pre-interview
• 6 hours testing
• full written report
• 1-hour follow-up meeting
• teleconference (phone call) with school
